About Us
Stonewall Democrats of Denton County was founded in August 2007. Democratic grassroots activists John McClelland, Dr. Edra Bogle, Jillian Baxter, and Dave Wozniak took the reigns and founded the first LGBT Democratic organization in the county.
SDDC is one of 5 Stonewall chapters in the DFW metro area. Members also belong to the National Stonewall Democrats in Washington D.C., as well as the Texas Stonewall Democratic Caucus (which acts as the LGBT Caucus in the Texas Democratic Party). SDDC is a registered state general political action committee, compliant in all aspects of the Texas Ethics Commission.
We meet every 4th Thursday at varied locations, unless otherwise stated.
